Smith may not possess imposing height at 5’6, but he compensates with competitiveness and technical skill. He collected three interceptions and consistently showed the ability to high point the football despite size disadvantages. Smith plays with strong hips and fluid movement, allowing him to stay connected in coverage and mirror receivers effectively. He contributed 34 total tackles, proving he is willing to step up in run support and finish in space. His toughness and attention to detail stand out on film. If he builds on this past season’s production, Smith has the potential to gain even more traction and pop onto scouts radar.

Smith had the fastest pro shuttle being 1^st at the event, 14^th nationally, and 4^th in his class. He has good athletic ability due to very good change of direction, balance, good speed, and acceleration. His pro shuttle demonstrated that. Smith was attentive during the coaching portion. Good performance in the 7 on 7 drills. Smooth and controlled back pedal. Very good man coverage. He’d stay stride for stride with the receiver and used his good timing to create pass breakups. Good read and reaction time. I’m looking forward to seeing Smith grow over the next couple of seasons.
