He does a great job attacking with his angles when tackling. Stout tackler. Irby runs with a head full of steam and uses his good strength to wrap up the ball carrier. He has good get off and block shedding. As a running back, he demonstrates very good inside and outside running. Uses his balance to consistently churn forward and break tackles. I’m excited to see how he continues his development on both sides of the ball! He has a lot of potential.

Irby recorded 73 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and one sack, showcasing his well rounded impact. His sideline to sideline speed allows him to track plays outside the tackles, while his physicality shows up when filling interior gaps. He also shows comfort dropping into coverage, adding value in passing situations. When Irby comes downhill, he arrives with force and purpose, often meeting ball carriers square in the hole. His instincts and range make him a dependable centerpiece for a defense.
