Matt Tate | Prep Redzone Scout
Dumas has prototypical size measuring in at 6’3 210-pounds. Can play off-ball or edge linebacker. He had 24 total tackles (12 solo, 12 assisted), 7 TFL, 3 sacks, 2 PD, and 1 FF. He has very good athletic ability due to his very good change of direction, lateral quickness, balance, acceleration, good speed, and jumping. Good read and reaction speed paired with very good mental processing. He does a great job tackling with a good usage of angles. Dumas does a good job out in coverage as well. As an edge rusher, he uses his good initial quickness with a smooth bend to get around the tackle. Swims effortlessly through the OL and into the backfield. Collapses the pocket to create pressure on the opposing team’s QB. I’m very excited to see how he continues developing as a top tier prospect in Colorado.
