Mason announced his commitment to UNLV this week after picking up an offer from the Rebels less than a month ago. The star WR/DB out of Faith Lutheran has been one of the biggest risers on the offseason recruiting trail after picking up his first set of offers from Army, Northern Arizona, and Montana St. since February. He put together a breakout season on offense leading the Crusaders receiving corps with 636 yards and 8 TDs on 45 catches as a junior and showed high-level speed, twitch, and route running ability. He holds good length to his 6’1”/175 frame, is strong at the catch point, and adjusts well to the ball in flight. Mason will be one of the top two-way skill players to watch this fall.
Mason picked up his first pair of offers from Northern Arizona and Montana St. this month. The junior WR/DB out of Faith Lutheran was one of the biggest risers in PRZ NV’s latest update to the 2027 rankings after breaking out as an offensive playmaker in 2025. He was the leading receiver for the Crusader offense posting 600+ yards and 8 TDs on 45 catches as a junior and showed major upside in his overall WR skillset. Look for Mason to continue to raise his stock and add offers to his list over the coming months.
Mason originally put his name on the PRZ NV radar as a defensive back with his strong sophomore season and broke out as a productive receiver for Faith Lutheran this season with 636 receiving yards and 8 TDs on 45 catches. He’s a high level two-way player that possesses all the length, speed, and athleticism to play either side of the ball at the next level. On offense, he’s an advanced route-runner that creates separation with creative releases and quick, decisive breaks, and is elusive with the ball in his hands. On defense, he’s a smothering perimeter CB that offers great length, range, and physicality. Mason, whose brother just signed with BYU in December, is one of the most underrated players in his class and could draw D-I offers in the near future.
Mason was a new addition to the 2027 rankings in January and moved up from the watchlist to the official rankings in this latest update. The 6’/160 DB out of Faith Lutheran is the younger brother of one of the biggest offseason recruiting risers- Matthew MasonMatthewMason

– who’s picked up 20 D-I offers since his breakout junior season. Jaden put together a productive sophomore season himself with 44 total tackles, 11 PBUs and an INT and flashes some of the same traits that vaulted his older brother onto the D-I radar. Mason could have a similar type of rise on the recruiting trail with a strong follow-up to his sophomore campaign.
