Thompson showed strong footwork and vision during Indy drills, maintaining balance while weaving cleanly through in-drill obstacles. He is a fast and QB-friendly outlet in routes out of the backfield. Thompson makes decisive cuts and has dependable hands, showing upside as a receiving option. At the next level, Thompson could also contribute as a slot target.

I’m a big fan of Thompson’s game. The returning starter rushed for over 1,200 yards as a junior, and he put together some exciting tape in the process. On his tape, Thompson is an explosive athlete who makes some filthy cuts between the tackles for gigantic gains. He’s a patient back who can wait for the play to develop before finding an open running lane and cutting upfield immediately. His thick frame allows him to break a handful of arm tackles on every play, and he is not the kind of back I would want to see charging downhill at me. Thompson wastes no time getting upfield and looks to return as an elite offensive threat for the Raiders in 2025.

Thompson had one of if not the best showing by a running back in the entire state during Week 5. During a tough loss to Hastings, Thompson rushed for 200 yards on 31 carries and 4 touchdowns while averaging a great 6.5 ypc. He runs through people and will break tackles repeatedly, or drag defenders with him. Thompson runs hard and deserves more attention after such a head-turning performance.
