Harris is a well-covered player for us here at PRZ AL, and for good reason. He jumped on the radar as a productive freshman and matched that production as a sophomore. Harris is an explosive back with elite foot speed. He is a one-cut style, no-nonsense runner who gets to his top speed quickly. Harris produced more as a receiver this year, which is something to watch on his track to becoming a well-rounded RB prospect.

Harris, a sophomore, has shown a ton of great things both last season and in the last two weeks. He’s a talented ball carrier who can go from 0-100 in a moment’s notice, Hoover will have to try and find a way to contain him early on this week.

Hillcrest opened up its season with a dominant 35-7 win over Florence, and Harris was a huge reason why. He racked up 131 yards and 3 TDs and consistently found ways to carve up Florence’s defense on the ground.

Harris runs hard through contact and is explosive enough to create his own yards in the short areas, and he stays on his feet through contact. Harris is already a notable name in Alabama and is only going to elevate his stock more this offseason.

It’s been a fantastic start to the HS career of Jacobi Harris Jacobi Harris 5'8" | 160 lbs | RB Hillcresttuscaloosa | 2028 State , rushing for just under 800 yards on the year so far. Harris, now listed at 5’10 165, is a dangerous playmaker in space who is schemed up opportunities to dance in the open field. He is dangerous on outside zone/reverse type plays, where he can out-angle defenses and stay away from the big bodies. He is growing physically and will need to add more play strength to handle his own between the tackles, but he plays with brilliant balance and stays on his feet by dancing around tacklers. He has good enough vision to locate cut-back lanes, and he has the change of direction needed to take advantage of them. Harris is on pace for a very productive HS career and should reap the rewards on the recruiting trail.
