The 6’4 210-pound defensive end had himself a day against Thornton. The Northglenn edge rusher had 9 total tackles, 5 TFL, and 5 sacks. He has good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, lateral quickness, good speed, and jumping. Martin utilizes his quick hand speed at the line of scrimmage to gain the upper hand on the OL. Good hand placement and very good hand strength. Martin has a good bend around the edge and goes between a bull rush and a spin move. Keeps the tackle on his toes. Very good block shedding. Good tackling, and relentless pursuit. He played through the whistle, and consistently helped teammates finish up tackles. I’m very excited to see Martin continue this level of play throughout the season.

Martin has been a two-way standout, but his defensive dominance deserves the spotlight. With 25 total tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 6 sacks and 3 fumble recoveries, he has been a nightmare for opposing offenses. His ability to shed blocks and deliver punishing hits in the backfield separates him from many at his position. Martin’s motor and physicality allow him to constantly be around the ball, creating turnovers and momentum swings. His strong start to the season has him firmly on the rise and if he continues at this level, expect him to gain traction in the rankings.

Landing at #96 is Jacob Martin Jacob Martin 6'4" | 210 lbs | EDGE/TE Northglenn | 2026 State CO . Throughout the season, Martin accounted for 24 receptions for 269 yards and 2 touchdowns. Martin has good athletic ability due to good speed, acceleration, and change of direction. Starts out with a good release at the LOS using the 1,2-shake to out maneuver his opponent. He demonstrates good separation quickness due to his good athletic ability and mental processing. An aspect of his game that stood out to me was when his QB was scrambling, he found an open pocket for the easy catch, or he’d look back to assist him for an easy completion. He would also ID a void in the zone and exploit it. He has good catching, especially in traffic. Martin has very good body control. He was able to keep both feet in bounds for a big gain on the sideline. He also will come down with the contested catch against other defenders. I’m excited to see how Martin brings more firepower to the offense during this next season.
