Last season, he had 33 receptions for 412 yards with 4 touchdowns, 19 carries for 94 yards with 5 touchdowns, 75 total tackles (24 solo, 51 assisted), 6 TFL, 1 INT (returned for a TD), and 1 FR. He has good athletic ability due to very good speed, acceleration, good jumping, and change of direction. Good release paired with very good separation quickness. Uses his speed to consistently get open. Very good catching with good ball tracking. Rips the ball out of the air with ease and has strong hands to hold onto the ball while hitting the ground. Good ball adjustment to over the shoulder throws and good body control to stay inbounds on sideline catches. Once he has the ball in his hands, Franklin uses his home run speed to run past defenders and into the endzone. Exciting playmaker that deserves more looks.

A versatile athlete, Franklin has the ability to line up all over the field, but he projects as the go to receiver for this offense. Franklin possesses the speed to separate at the top of his routes and the strength to win in contested situations. His size makes him a redzone threat, where he can climb the ladder and secure tough 50/50 balls. With his playmaking ability, Franklin has the potential to swing momentum with just one big catch, either deep downfield or in traffic. If the passing game is called upon early, expect Franklin to be a difference maker who consistently puts pressure on the defense and establishes himself as a primary weapon in Week 0.

Franklin is one of the more intriguing new faces in the 2027 class thanks to his versatility and natural playmaking ability. Last season, he contributed in multiple roles, but it was at wide receiver where he truly flashed. With a wide catch radius and strong hands, Franklin made several highlight reel grabs in traffic. Now, fully embracing the WR role, he looks to put it all together in 2025. He’s quick off the line, runs crisp routes, and has the athleticism to win contested catches. If he continues to progress technically, Franklin could become a key target and a breakout star this season.

Franklin has good size for a possession receiver, however his game speed on the field would say otherwise. He has very good athletic ability due to very good jumping, acceleration, good speed, and change of direction. He’d consistently beat the DB at the line of scrimmage, demonstrating very good release. Very good separation quickness due to his play strength and athletic ability. He’d fight through contact during the route, or outrun the DB. Franklin demonstrated fluid route running throughout the event. Very quick cuts. Very good catching. He demonstrated strong fingertips on some of the catches, and strong hands while being contacted. Great job for the sophomore receiver !

During one on ones and 3v2 situations, he displayed excellent vision, finding soft spots in zone coverage and securing tough catches in traffic. With his sharp cuts and ability to work underneath, Franklin projects well as a reliable possession receiver who can move the chains consistently.
