Bourland is a safety with a lot of speed and great vision. He is able to read and react quickly coming down to make a play in the running game, at times making tackles in the backfield. He has good hands and can come away with INT’s as well, coming out of his break and making a play on the ball. He is a good open field tackler and can bring ball carriers down with force. He will be one of the top ballhawks in this class to keep on the radar.

With an electric type playing style, Bourland soon showcased why the future is so bright as he put together an impressive campaign at the JV level en route to leading his squad to an 8-1 overall record and a league championship to boot. Furthermore, it was the soon-to-be-sophomore stud that was a legitimate problem through the air and on the ground. In the season finale, Bourland proved this to be true with 417 total yards and a combined five touchdowns. With more expected playing time at the varsity level in 2023, Bourland will be an exciting name to keep tabs on.
