Lefotu-Maiava measures in at 5’10 225-pounds and is a versatile lineman. He has very good competitive toughness. Consistently gives his all on every rep. Good initial quickness with very good hand speed. Maintains a low pad level due to his very good flexibility and good knee bend. Very good hand strength and placement. Controls and steers his defender creating rushing lanes for his running back. Good pull blocking. Very good strength to combat bull rushes. Very good balance with good footwork. Lefotu-Maiava has a very good anchor. I’m intrigued to see how continues to improve with another off-season working on his technique!

Lefotu-Maiava measures in at 5’10 225-pounds playing G/T for Vista Ridge. I loved watching his film. He dominated no matter the position he was slotted in. Very good strength. He throws the DL around easily. Very good hand strength and placement to control and steer his opponent, driving them into the 2nd level. Good initial quickness. Very good hand speed to combat pass rush moves, and great timing with his strikes. Low pad level due to his good knee bend and very good flexibility. Very good balance and footwork. He’ll match and lockout the DL. Lefotu-Maiava has good pull blocking too. Very good anchor. He consistently plays through the whistle showcasing his very good competitive toughness. He will be a name to know moving forward.

Lefotu-Maiava was a player that was technical in drill work and got better throughout the day. He was able to show violent hands, ripping the bag out of peoples hands and getting through. He was able to be explosive in one on ones and beat his opponent with his quickness.

When I started this write up I had Elionai Lefotu-Maiava listed as a defensive lineman, but after watching some recent film, I like what I see out of him as an offensive lineman even more. A lot of the same traits carry from one side of the ball to the other for Lefotu-Maiava, namely his toughness and athleticism. He moves very well for an interior lineman at this level, something probably credited to him playing Rugby in the off-season. Offensively he plays Center for the Highlands Ranch PREP Mountain Lions and is part of a very good front five there.
