The No. 2 wide receiver spot was also up for grabs in this May update. There were multiple prospects deserving of this ranking, but

of Cheney emerged as the clear No. 2 wideout in the class. Voth was one of the stars for the Kansas Colts 18U squad this past 7-On-7 season. Between his play last fall and his performance this spring, Voth’s stock has increased significantly. The Cheney product has been rated a 2-Star prospect by 247Sports, and at the beginning of the month he made his verbal commitment to New Mexico State.

Jackson is a player that stood out from the very first game I saw him play. He understood how to run routes and was very successful working across the middle of the field and through zones. Made a ton of catches inside versus SS/LBs and had enough speed to pick up yards after catch and enough size to absorb hits. He’s sure handed and made catches whether covered or running free. Voth is coming off a 1000yd season at 3A Cheney High where he was 1st Team All-State. Playing with the Kansas Colts on the 7v7 circuit, he’s getting a chance to show the people outside of Cheney that he can ball with the best in the Midwest regardless of Class size or town size. If Voth continues to show the rest of the region what Cheney, KS already knows this spring and summer expect a few college scouts to have Cheney High in their GPS on Fall Fridays.

Sticking to good receivers named Jackson, Voth is a pass catcher that does everything right. He has great speed through the seam, keeps his balance through ankle tackles, and has incredibly soft hands that allow him to pull down everything in his catch radius. He has the speed to beat the defense to the sideline, and the feet to get them off balance. He also is very hard-nosed, pancaking corners on run plays and bubble screens. Aside from a torpid cut out of some routes, Voth is a wide out that will change games as soon as he gets the ball into his hands.
