It’s a period when prospects get the opportunity to see programs for the first time, and if they’re fortunate enough, they could also land their first offer. In addition to campus visits, the spring season can be a great opportunity for prospects to bolster their résumés as well.
Several players from this upcoming senior class have improved their recruitment after strong showings during the 7-On-7 circuit and combine season. As a result, many prospects moved up in the rankings. Plenty were deserving of recognition, but these players were some of highest Stock Risers from the recent Class of ’24 rankings update.
This month prospects from the Olathe area have made headlines in the recruiting world, and Brett Carroll Brett Carroll 6’4″ | 285 lbs | OL Olathe East | 2024 State KS was one of the prospects at the forefront. In the previous update, Carroll was on the verge of becoming a Top 50 prospect, and this time around he’s knocking on the door of the Top 10. He has solidified himself as one of the premier offensive linemen from this upcoming senior class, as he continues to land Power 5 offers. Just this month alone Carroll has received offers from Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas State, Minnesota, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and Tulane.

The Olathe North product joined Brett Carroll Brett Carroll 6’4″ | 285 lbs | OL Olathe East | 2024 State KS inside the Top 25 in this update, as he now sits at No. 15 overall and is the 5th ranked offensive lineman in the class. The 6-foot-5 tackle is now up to 10 D-I offers after speaking with Army, Columbia, Dartmouth, and South Dakota State earlier this month.

There was a period of time when it was unclear as to which wideout from this senior class should be ranked No. 1 at the position. It’s safe to say that question has been answered. Sammy Dresie Sammy Dresie 6’2″ | 180 lbs | WR Maize South | 2024 State KS of Maize South has separated himself from the rest of the pack, as he climbed inside the Top 25 to No. 23 overall. This spring the 6-foot-2 wideout earned a 3-Star rating from 247Sports, and he posted some impressive testing numbers while at a Rivals combine early this month. Dresie has recently received offers from Emporia State, Northwest Missouri State, and Pittsburg State. He’s received slight interest from a few D-I programs as well.

The No. 2 wide receiver spot was also up for grabs in this May update. There were multiple prospects deserving of this ranking, but Jackson Voth Jackson Voth 5’11” | 185 lbs | WR Cheney | 2024 State KS of Cheney emerged as the clear No. 2 wideout in the class. Voth was one of the stars for the Kansas Colts 18U squad this past 7-On-7 season. Between his play last fall and his performance this spring, Voth’s stock has increased significantly. The Cheney product has been rated a 2-Star prospect by 247Sports, and at the beginning of the month he made his verbal commitment to New Mexico State.
