Simmons, a Pitt football commit, is like a heat-seeking missile on the football field. He’s almost impossible to block in space, and it’s hard for anyone to stop him from getting to his destination. Simmons’ lateral quickness makes him one of the better sideline-to-sideline defenders at the linebacker position in the region. Expect more big plays from him this upcoming season.

Simmons was an All-VHSL Class 5 First-team all-state selection last season. He chose Pittsburgh over a double-digit list of offers that included Duke, Michigan, Old Dominion, Syracuse, and West Virginia. One of the reasons Simmons will find his way onto a college football field early in his career will have something to do with his play on special teams. He plays with a potent mix of physicality, speed and athleticism. Simmons has an explosive first step, enabling him to disrupt plays quickly. He times his blitzes well and makes numerous plays behind the line of scrimmage. Defenses will have to account for him at all times.

Fresh off an offer from the reigning National Champions Maury’s Isaiah Simmons Isaiah Simmons 6'0" | 200 lbs | LB/DB Maury | 2026 State VA is a bad man. This dude flies to the football and has top notch speed that very few (if any at all) skill position players can outrun. Simmons is everywhere at linebacker and fullback for the Commodores and I can see him playing safety at the division level. He is 6’0 and 190 lbs. tell me when you watch his tape if his speed and coverage skills do not scream an all American safety?

10th overall in the class of 2026 is Maury’s fearless linebacker Isaiah Simmons Isaiah Simmons 6'0" | 200 lbs | LB/DB Maury | 2026 State VA . Ferocious, unblock able and playmaker are words I would use when describing Simmons game, he is one of the best in the state. The Commodores have a special one with this young man who has already received offers from Duke, Old Dominion and Virginia Tech to name a few. Another student of the game with a 3.6 GPA, he is still growing into his frame at 6’0 190 lbs.. Imagine him at 210/215 lbs. in what damager this young man will do at a big time institution, the possibilities are endless.
