Henslick was definitely a name to know heading into this year and despite that, he has put up massive numbers and earned his way on to our PRZ-Oklahoma Player Of The Year Watchlist. In fact, Class 5A might lead the way in terms of watchlist players and there are quite a few on this breakdown. Henslick can impact the game in so many ways and has multiple examples of that this season with offense, defense and special teams.

Henslick came into this season as one of the top wide receivers in Class 5A. He enjoyed a breakout season last year. He emerged as one of the top playmakers on Collinsville’s offense and that has more than carried over this season. In addition to being Collinsville’s leading receiver by a wide margin, Henslick is adding other elements to his game that makes him incredibly valuable to what Collinsville does. He’s been a threat in the return game and has also impacted the game on defense. There’s no doubt that Henslick has been one of the top wide receivers and overall playmakers in the state this fall. And while this just happens to be a coincidence, it’s a good one because on Friday night, we’ll see Henslick and Deckard go head to head as the Cardinals face Claremore in the regular season finale.

He has been a spark to this team more times than not so far this season. Now, coming into this season, we knew that Henslick was productive but we were curious how he would rank as a prospect. But everyone in 5A knows about him at this point and he’s still producing at a high level. So we know Henslick can play at the next level.

He came into this season as one of the best wide receivers in Class 5A but it feels like he’s taken his game up a notch and has to be considered one of the best overall players in the class at this point. Every single game, Henslick is making a tremendous impact on the game. Whether it’s as Collinsville’s top target in the passing game, on defense or in the return game, Henslick is a true game-changer. He was a big part of the Cardinals beating Bishop Kelley last season and he’ll look to do it again this week.

Collinsville got another strong win on Friday night when they beat Bartlesville 27-14. Henslick came into this week as one of our players to watch and he showed why. Henslick finished with just over 100 yards receiving on seven catches and had two touchdowns. He also had an interception on defense and returned a kick for his third touchdown on the night. Henslick is on pace for 20 receiving touchdowns this season. He’s caught two touchdowns in each of their first three wins this season. Henslick and the Cardinals will look to keep it going this week when they travel to face Pryor.

Collinsville jumped into the top ten rankings in Class 5A over the weekend and look to stay there when they host Bartlesville on Friday night. This season, he’s picked up right where he left off in the first two games. Henslick has caught two touchdowns in each of Collinsville’s two wins. The Cardinals will look to keep that going this week as they play host to a Bartlesville team that is getting very hungry for that first win of the season. Henslick has been solid on defense as well. In last week’s win, he came up with an interception on the defensive side of the ball. But there is no question that Henslick has become one of the top wide receivers in Class 5A this season.

It seemed like he was putting up 100 yards and at least one touchdown every single week. Henslick put up big numbers on offense and he was also valuable on defense in the secondary. He finished with over 50 tackles and three interceptions, two of which he took back for touchdowns. Henslick is going to be arguably the top playmaker on this Collinsville team and as the Cardinals work in some of those new offensive players, we anticipate Henslick will put up monster numbers early on in the season.
