On the other side of things, Jayden’s younger brother Grayson Lloyd Grayson Lloyd 5'8" | 150 lbs | WR/DB Woodbury Central | 2029 IA made an immediate impact on the Wildcats’ offense in his freshman year, immediately solidifying the brothers as a one-two punch for their passing game. Lloyd finished with 586 yards and 8 TDs on just 31 receptions (18.9 YPC). Unlike his older brother, Grayson played more as an outside receiver, flashing fluid route-running ability while also possessing the same amount of speedy playmaking value that his older brother holds. What he lacks in size at the outside WR position he makes up for with sharp footwork and being able to create separation both over the middle and outside the perimeter with his feet. The Lloyds will have a big presence for Woodbury Central’s offense in 2026.

A bendy and quick athlete with ball skills, Grayson Lloyd Grayson Lloyd 5'8" | 150 lbs | WR/DB Woodbury Central | 2029 IA was as impactful as any freshmen receiver in the state this season. Leading all first-year pass-catchers in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, Lloyd looked like a seasoned-veteran on the perimeter for Woodbury Central. At least, that’s the way the connection between he and junior quarterback, Jackson Verschoor Jackson Verschoor 6'0" | 205 lbs | QB Woodbury Central | 2027 State IA looked.
Lloyd showed an advanced skillset in route running with quick feet, the ability to get in and out of breaks quicker than older defensive backs covering him and ball-tracking skills that made him a deep threat despite his lack of size. Assuming Lloyd continues to grow, he’ll be a two-way star for the Wildcats.

His older brother Jayden stood out last season as a top WR/DB for the Wildcats, and Grayson would showcase that talent on the gridiron runs in the blood. Lloyd finished 2nd on the team with 586 receiving yards on 31 receptions (18.9 YPC) and a team-high 8 receiving TDs as a freshman. On defense, he added 33 tackles (28 solo), 1 TFL, 1 FF, and 2 fumble recoveries. Grayson possesses a lot of similar traits to that of his older brother, including great hands, top-end speed, and overall athleticism that has allowed him to shine on both offense and defense much like his brother. The dynamic duo will have one more season to play as teammates as Jayden enters his senior year in 2026, and it will be hard for opposing teams to account for both of these guys in the lineup.

Playing in a program with a roster annually flush with talent, Lloyd has managed to make his mark through the first four games of the season. The ninth-grader had caught 10 passes for 155 yards with a team-high three receiving touchdowns. He’d also posted 9.5 tackles, eight of which were of the solo variety, and forced a fumble. Lloyd is a strong overall athlete as evidenced by him starting on the Wildcat baseball team as an eighth-grader this summer.
