Mt. Zion has been an offensive juggernaut so far this year. They are loaded with talented players with the ability to spread the ball around to them. One key player to the success has been Grant Mcatee. At 6’4, Mcatee is a big physical possession wide receiver. He plays the “X” WR role within the the offense, often getting 1 on 1 opportunities vs corners. He has been dominating so far with 6 touchdowns and 356 yards receiving.

Grant is an under the radar prospect to know. He has good size at 6’3″ 180 lbs and his excellent hands provide his QB with a huge target area. Grant is also elusive with the ball in his hands. He has the body control to be able to juke, or spin away from the defense and then accelerate quickly to top speed. Grant adjusts to the ball in the air well too. He has shown he can win with his size, speed, or elusiveness. Another mismatch nightmare to know who is looking like a steal. I believe the playmaker is looking for his first offer.

, it is clear that the combo was able to light it up under the Friday night lights last season. Grant was good for over 15 yards a catch last season helping his offense produce chunk plays throughout the game. Racking up 78 yards a game is also no small feat as Grant proved to be a major asset to Mt. Zion’s offense. Grant’s film displays several posterized catches as he was found doing everything it takes to go and make the catch. His catching in traffic proves to be second to none and caused problems for the defensive backfield on any given play. Grant is also a sneaky fast route runner who seemed to blow the top off of coverages whenever he had the chance. From what I have seen from Grant, Mt. Zion is going to be explosive through the air next season. If Grant follows the trajectory that he is on, I do not doubt that he is going to have a big season this year.

A literal threat to score anywhere on the field, this top WR for the Braves scored 15 touchdowns on receptions in 2022 and had almost 1000 yards receiving. He has a soft hands, runs crisp routes and is athletic enough to make any catch anywhere on the field. Not a burner in regards to speed, he has enough quickness to get open against any defense. Look for a big summer camp circuit from Grant and for him to have another big season in 2023. His Twitter handle is @grantmcatee1210
