Although Creighton Prep’s Gavin Trapp Gavin Trapp 6'1" | 235 lbs | DL/TE Creighton Prep | 2028 State NE only played a limited varsity role as a freshman, he showed several flashes of the type of game wrecker he can be. Gavin demonstrated that he can be a destructive defensive tackle, capable of shutting down inside run lanes and collapsing the interior of the pocket against the pass. Gavin plays to his advantages very well, utilizing his natural leverage to maintain a low pad level and get under his opponent’s pads, thereby standing them up in their stance. Trapp can generate a ton of power from his base to drive blockers off the line. Gavin’s lateral mobility allows him to shift and attack different gaps at the line of scrimmage, forcing linemen to make quick adjustments. Violent hands at the point of attack.
