About Gavin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Smart player who understands defensive schemes. Quick off the ball, strong hands, large catch radius, sharp route running, great vertical jump to utilize height with high point catches. I play both sides of the ball contributing at free safety. I am on all special teams' units including returning punts.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

As a two-sport varsity athlete, my passion for sports has been a defining part of my life since I was young. I’ve always been drawn to competition, growth, and the pursuit of excellence—whether that’s on the field, on the court, or in the classroom. From early mornings in the weight room to late nights fine-tuning skills in AAU basketball and 7v7 football, I embrace every opportunity to improve.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Member of the Ago Taras chapter of the National Honor Society through Saratoga Springs High School.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Off the field, I give back to the game by refereeing flag football and helping coach kids at basketball clinics. These roles have taught me leadership, patience, and how to see the game from different perspectives. I also maintain a 4.0 GPA, understanding the importance of balancing academics and athletics. Gavin is a rare receiver. He has a basketball frame, and also plays on the court for the Blue Streaks. I like his frame, sitting at 6’3″, gives him a massive advantage on the football field.

LaFrance displayed outstanding footwork, and made quick cuts for the Blue Streaks all night. He has good body control, and can go up and make tough catches look easy at any moment. I like his hands, and they make catches look easy.
