Gavin Carwile Gavin Carwile 6'5" | 295 lbs | OL St. Xavier | 2029 State KY played in mainly a reserve/JV role this past season but he put together some impressive freshman year film. He lined up at left tackle where he proved to be reliable in pass protection. Gavin has shown the footwork to mirror opposing pass rushers off the edge with ease, continuing to kick back in his pass sets to keep his man away from the quarterback. He also does a great job of fighting with his hands to defeat pass rush moves and keep inside position. In the run game, Carwile has shown the ability to wall off his man and drive them out of the picture to create a running lane for the ball career. I’m intrigued to see how Gavin’s career progresses as he receives more varsity opportunities moving forward.
