A big-play linebacker who has started his senior season off with a bang, Ausfeld is an athletic 6-foot-0 180-pound defender who shows impressive instincts, quickness, and is proving to be one of the region’s hardest-hitting linebackers. The Savannah native has been one of the more productive defenders in the area to start the 2026 season, securing 23 tackles, four TFLs and three sacks through his first three games. He plays fast, understands the position, and brings an intimidating presence for someone his size. He’s playing at a high level and will be an easy addition to the next 2027 Prep Redzone rankings this fall.

An athletic playmaker that can do a variety of things on the field at the QB position on the move with his legs and arm. Gabriel Ausfeld Gabriel Ausfeld 6'1" | 205 lbs | LB Calvary Day | 2027 GA did possess the ability to make throws deep and over the shoulder for receivers. He did make short, quick throws as well. Likewise, he was able to get on the move in the read option with his speed and acceleration in open space. Additionally, Ausfeld can play at the FS position, playing centerfield and in the box. Can come downhill to make tackles on receivers.
