Nobody personifies the ATH label like Gabe. The kid did literally a bit of everything in 2025, and more might be needed from him in 2026. This is possible because he is a very high IQ football player. He is someone who knows his job and seems to know where the football is going to be while playing defense. The speed on top of his awareness allows him to roam the field effortlessly and make the plays on the ball or tackles in the open field. His open field tackling is so reliable too. On offense we really see the natural athleticism and instincts with the football as he beats angles and finds ways to set up blocks. I believe Gabe can play DB or WR at the next level. I’m pumped to watch the tape and numbers he produces this fall.

Central had a strong year going 7-4 overall and Gabe was a big reason behind it with his massive stat line. Gabe truly did a bit of everything. In total, Gabe went for 29/49, 431 yards, 1 Passing TD, 73 carries, 633 yards, 6 rushing TDs, 16 receptions, 184 yards, 1 TD, 67 tackles, 7 TFLs, 2 PBUs, and 4 INTs.
La Crosse Central is another top tier team in the highly competitive Mississippi Valley Conference. They are currently 2nd place with a 19-4 record. Gabe leads the way on the scoring end, averaging 17.9 PPG.
On the football field you can’t argue with Gabe’s unreal versatility. It seems like the explosive athlete could play almost any position on the field. He is so explosive and has such a consistent knack for making plays. I can’t wait to see him testing numbers this summer and then watch him continue that big variety of impact.

In all my years of doing this I don’t think I have ever had to write out a stat line like Gabe’s. This is the epitome of a do-it-all athlete. Passing, rushing, receiving, tackling, making INTs. He had success at every position he played last year. Turn on the tape and you see why he is used so heavily. Speed, quick acceleration, agile, and a very high football IQ. It all comes together to create a package that stands out every Friday night. I can’t wait to see how he is utilized as a senior. But before that we will hopefully see numbers put to his athleticism at camps. This is a serious breakout candidate for this summer and fall.
