Martinez comes back to lead a Meridian defense that pride itself on its ability to physically dominate its opponent. Martinez is able to do a multitude of different things for the Meridian defense where he is an effective blitzer, great open field tackler and has the ability to match up in the passing game.

Martinez is the spark for a Meridian defense that prides itself on being physical. He maybe small in stature but the senior is everywhere on the field for the Warriors. A player who can make an impact in the run game along with the passing game. He has a knack for finding the football and making plays all over the field.

Martinez has been one of the top hitters and linebackers in the state for the past couple of seasons, and is a true inside backer at the next level that is athletic for his size and is a big time box player. He also recently collected a College of Idaho offer last week, and should see other NAIA/D3+ offers come his way as he moves through his Senior season.

Martinez is a very active outside linebacker that shows he can set the edge, come up and take on lead blockers and flashes closing speed and range out in space. He is a downhill player that has a quick trigger and is a sure tackler outside the box, while able to cover in the flats/downfield with ease against bigger receivers and backs. On film, he flashes good instincts in coverage with ball skills and return abilities as well. In the run game, he does a nice job at setting the edge and using his hands to get off blocks while also able to rush the passer with bend and a quick use of hands at the POA. He is another no brainer D3+ player at the next level that should draw college interest through this off-season and during his last season for Meridian.
