The senior is going to be able to play both a down defensive lineman and a stand up outside linebacker. He has a big tool bag that allows him to really get after the passer and then is very stout against the run. He is a powerful football player that will be playing at the next level by the time this recruiting season is done.

The rising senior is a very active edge defender that plays in a stand up role and can also cover the flats when needed. He is a very explosive defender in the short area with a heavy punch and good redirect abilities while able to provide a strong pass rush off the edge. He wins with a high motor, plays with good leverage and is able to quickly get off blocks with heavy hands/controls blockers with ease. He has a few pass rush moves as his disposal and understands when to use primary and counter moves, while a natural bender around the edge with plus closing speed and COD abilities. He currently holds one offer from the College of Idaho.

Able to play both linebacker or edge at the next level, the Meridian standout picked up an offer from College of Idaho last week, and he remains one of the top available pass rushers and true thumpers in Idaho. Look for him to have a huge Senior season for this loaded meridian defense, and McDaniel is a top name to note as we head into the Fall and next Winter’s national signing day.

The Meridian product is another stand up edge player that could find his hand in the dirt at the next level, but is a tremendous pass rusher and wins with both speed and natural strength at the POA. When pass rushing, he shows natural bend around the edge, heavy hands and can quickly get off blocks/shows a quick use of hands at the point of contact and can quickly redirect while showing strong lateral movement abilities when surfing/scraping down the LOS to take on blockers. In the run game, he does a nice job at understanding gap responsibilities and working half man, while controlling blockers with his inside punch and lock out. He is a strong kid with a powerful build, and offers good position versatility for Meridian heading into 2024.
