The highest-ranking unoffered prospect on our lists. We’ve harped on that notion for some time. I like McDonald as the best available option for programs looking to start new relationships with PA offensive linemen. I wouldn’t worry if McDonald goes the offseason without a scholarship offer from suitors. McDonald might have to buckle down and put forth dominant tape during his last campaign at Allentown Central Catholic. Eyes will be on the program this Fall, so the looks should be there.

McDonald’s name has been littered across the site as we continue to provide exposure to one of the hidden gems in the state of Pennsylvania. You’ll have a hard time getting me to flip my FBS grade on the young man, he checks off too many boxes. UMass and Lehigh have invited him to campus in months past. We at PRZ will do our best to make sure he gets more opportunities this summer. Currently the highest upside of any un-offered junior in the state.

hardly lost reps. McDonald put forth the same effort, although a tad more assertive. An incredible reach, McDonald doesn’t have an excuse for letting defensive linemen in his chest. There was no steering or maneuvering this young man at tackle. You either tried your best to win with speed, if McDonald got his hands in your chest, the rep was over. Many speculate that we may have over-ranked the prospect, placing him among the elite linemen in his class. I feel much better about the notion now, after watching him work against serious competition. Here’s to hoping McDonald can build on the impressive offseason he’s having thus far.

Vic Castillo Vic Castillo RB PA and I are huge advocated for McDonald and we’re still not sure why he’s not getting the much needed love that he deserves. Yes, he’s got “super elite” size at 6-foot-8 and there will be questions if he can move as quickly as he needs to at that size. But there’s nothing to lose on McDonald. If he winds up at the right program who is willing to be patient, the absolute ceiling here is phenomenal. It may not be always the smoothest to start out but with some patience the results could be extraordinary.

ELITE size. There’s no other way to put it about McDonald. There are simply very few 6-foot-8, 320-pound offensive tackles out there. Worried about him not moving at that size? Don’t be. At 6-foot-8 and 320-pounds, McDonald moves quite well, he has some bend to his game and he has rather quick feet. There are parts of his game that will need to be worked on and his size might be a bit of a hinderance in some areas but overall, there is a tremendous amount of upside when it comes to McDonald. Definitely believe his recruitment deserves to pick up in the upcoming months. I understand there are some concerns he may be too big at 6-foot-8 but we’ve seen it could work before and there’s little reason not to believe McDonald could make it work as well.

McDonald is an offensive tackle with truly elite size at a reported 6-foot-8. His athleticism for being that size is pretty solid, can be improved but ina college strnegth and conditioning program there’s a chance for that to definetely improve. Shows quality fundamentals and good bend that allows him to block defenders who may try to go low on him in hopes of beating him.

‘s game. He’s 6’8, 325 pounds. Two things that will immediately jump through a scout’s mind. First, come to our camp, second, how well does this frame move on the field? 6’8, 325+ isn’t the easiest frame to move around on the turf. There’s no use in recruiting a prospect this big if he is as stiff as a board. McDonald isn’t a tree out there whatsoever, he can be opened up for sure, but hardly a stiff prospect.
All of this amounts to a more than intriguing prospect. Right tackle reps on tape, pass-pro, and rush blocking. His reach is so long, it’s damn near impossible for edge rushers to get their hands in to steer someone like McDonald, especially at this level. Even if his technique is off, or footing, off the snap of the ball, his ridiculous wing span helps him recover. One punch from this kid, even off-balanced, is enough to derail the opposing pass rush. He has a ways to go to complete his repertoire, which makes for an exciting prospect to watch moving forward. I’m sending his name to every Power Five school I have connections with.
