A freshman to certainly get on your radar, I liked what I saw from Ethan in his game against a strong Gonzaga team. Ethan looks the part at CB and while he is still a pup he’s got a nice frame & length for the position and should fill out well. During the game he showed off fluid hips, and smooth movements, staying in control during coverage. He’s got impressive technique for a freshman, staying in the receivers hip and is able to turn and find the ball to gets himself some nice PBUs. One thing that stood out vs. Gonzaga was that Ethan is not afraid of contact. He plays bigger than his size and does not hesitate to come up and throw his body into the tackle as he did multiple times in game.
Ethan has the tools to be a natural shutdown CB, able to use his length to his advantage and shows a good feel for the game with his instincts & play reactions. Look for Ethan to be a 2029 prospect colleges start to ID as well as a top player in my upcoming 2029 PRZ rankings.
