As a defensive back, he is a complete player. His ability to cover and make tackles in the open field is impressive. He has excellent ball skills, and he gets his hands on balls thrown near him when he is in coverage. He also made an impact on offense with his ability to play as a slot receiver at a high level. He catches the ball well and makes defenders miss well. Martinez is a complete player on both sides of the ball.
