In one of the best middle school football games I’ve ever watched, Oakland Middle School defeated Blackman Middle School in the Rutherford County championship in late October. At the helm for Oakland was 6-foot-3, 155-pound quarterback, Dustin Harden Dustin Harden 6'3" | 155 lbs | QB Oakland | 2028 TN . There’s no denying Harden’s size and potential as an overall athlete/football player. Despite a long, unorthodox throwing motion and a bit of a side-armed release point, he got the ball where it needed to be all year long for the Chargers. In addition to playing quarterback, Harden also handled punting responsibilities this year. I wouldn’t rule out a move to wide receiver (at least for the next year or so), considering both varsity quarterback’s return for next season.
