Avon Grove’s Dominic Harriet might be in need of a ranking boost, although I’ll wait to see his midseason tape before fully justifying that notion. He posted a 40 yard touchdown run from this past weekend’s game on X and tagged me, and I’m still waiting to see the full tape. Harriet ran the ball 28 times for 250 yards and a touchdown. That stat line alone has me thinking I might still be underrating him among Pennsylvania’s 2028 prospects.

To be fair, Harriet’s current ranking already projects him near the Division I level, sitting about 60 to 70 spots away from that threshold. He displays patience when setting up his blocks and allowing things to develop in front of him. That shows up immediately on his first rep on tape, an off tackle run where Harriet sees daylight and then shows off his acceleration once the opening presents itself.

The tape against West Chester East is phenomenal. You can watch him secure huge chunks of yardage through several different looks, whether it is off tackle, between the tackles or on presnap motion that gets Harriet outside on sweeps. You name it, Harriet was ripping off large gains. West Chester East is not a slouch either, which makes the performance even more impressive on Harriet’s part.

At running back, his burst and ability to create in space give the Red Devils another potential offensive weapon. His athleticism also translates to the secondary, where his competitiveness and closing ability can make him effective at cornerback. As he continues gaining varsity experience, Harriott has the opportunity to become a bigger contributor on both sides of the football. Expect him to be a young prospect worth monitoring throughout the 2026 season.

I may have left Dominic Harriott Dominic Harriott 5'10" | 170 lbs | RB/ATH Avon Grove | 2028 State PA a little lower than he ultimately belongs. Right now I see him as a lower Division II prospect, but there is a realistic path toward becoming a priority recruit for several Division II programs if the development continues. The biggest separator will be proving he can consistently create explosive plays against stronger competition while showing more burst through the second level and value in the passing game as both a receiver and pass protector. Running backs who stay on the field for all three downs naturally become more attractive college evaluations. If those pieces continue coming together, I would have no problem pushing him higher than No. 316 in the next update. This is one I could absolutely see myself being too low on.

He played Junior Varsity; he is a good running back who flashed some excellent skills. He has a great blend of speed, quickness, and toughness. He is hard to tackle one-on-one. The other part of his film I like is how patient he is. He waits for the hole to open up, and then he explodes through it. Harriott demonstrated an excellent running ability, and he should be able to improve next season.
