Garner’s quickness from the nose tackle position is a real problem for teams trying to run the ball between the tackles. Often winning the line of scrimmage off the snap, his power jams up linemen which allows his linebackers to clean up the ball carrier. Gets to the ball himself at a high rate for a defensive lineman thanks to his form. Sticks to what he does well with power rushes with quick footwork to send his man backwards. Plays against some of the best competition in the state of Ohio and performs at a high level to produce some of the most impressive tape you will see from a high school athlete. His offseason has already been a productive one with a number of schools including Ohio State, Michigan, Kentucky and Pitt keeping their eye on him while he holds an offer from Bowling Green.

Garner is a large and able body in the middle to shed off blocks in the middle of the action to disrupt plays. As a sophomore, Garner showed quickness from the nose tackle spot to make moves in limited space to get past offensive linemen. His defensive techniques are above average for his age and shows the ability to perform different moves to get off blocks and after the play. When all else fails, he has the strength to overpower interior linemen and long arms to reach out and grab ball carriers. Garner lines up on the offensive line as well to keep his size on the field where he can bully opponents with his strength. This spring, Garner has shown off his time in the gym and already has a DI offer from Bowling Green to his name. Getting out there as much as possible, Garner has also spent time at Kent State.
