About Dhillon
Expert Analysis
Alin Edouard | Prep Redzone Scout
Mcgee is a defensive back who stands out as a confident, competitive cover man with the tools to match up against quality receivers in one-on-one situations. What he does best is play with strong awareness in coverage—he reads route concepts well and shows the ability to stay composed when the ball is in the air. That poise allows him to consistently stay in position to make plays rather than chasing after the fact.
In man coverage, Mcgee shows good footwork and the ability to mirror receivers through short and intermediate routes. He doesn’t panic when tested vertically and has the recovery speed to stay attached even when receivers try to push him deep. His competitiveness shows up in contested situations—he’s willing to challenge catches and fight through the catch point.
He’s also effective in zone coverage, where his vision and anticipation allow him to break on throws quickly. When he diagnoses plays early, he closes space fast and becomes a real threat to disrupt timing windows. That combination of awareness and urgency helps him generate turnover opportunities.
Against the run, Mcgee is active and willing in support. He triggers downhill with confidence and shows solid tackling ability in space, helping limit yards after contact and forcing ball carriers to stay honest on the perimeter.

The Hawks’ elite man-up corner plays with a lot of length and vet-like instincts. McGee, like his offensive counterpart, possesses great overall speed (4.4 40). Dhillon displays great footwork and the ability to flip his hips and recover when needed at the line of scrimmage. He had a couple of PBUs last week and will look to man down his side of the field against the Longhorns tonight. McGee has received offers from schools such as Penn State, Baylor, and SMU.

McGree has rangy, athletic build with great length and uses his hands to knock wideouts off of their axis at the line of scrimmage. During the one-on-one sessions versus the offensive players, he excelled in press coverage showing off his physical play at the line of scrimmage and his strength at the point of attack is one of his best attributes. In the agility period of the camp, McGree displayed his pristine footwork, with the shiftiness to change direction smoothly and he transitions into his backpedal without false steps. In reviewing some of his in-game tape from the fall, he shows off his skills on both sides of the ball and has the versatility to be a playmaker from anywhere on the football field. McGree will be making headlines under Friday night lights in 2023.

McGee proved on every rep, every drill and each time he stepped up to defend against a wide out that he is now one of the best cornerbacks in the country in the class of 2027. McGee has great length, he gets into to his back pedal quickly, he engages his opponent at the line of scrimmage with violent hands and stays in phase while in coverage smoothly. His ability to change direction with no false steps puts him in position routinely to make plays on the football. McGee plays with a swagger and confidence beyond his years, which are valuable attributes in his game. For his middle school squad and for his DEA Select football team, he switches to the offensive side of the ball and shows off the explosion to make a house call from anywhere on the field. Dhillon will be a national recruit before he leaves high school.

, the current eighth-grader closing in 10 offers already. However, his teammate wearing jersey number two, McGee, is seemingly flying a little lower under the radar…and he shouldn’t be. At 6-foot-1 and 155-pounds he is a freaky athlete. He has the speed, size, athleticism, vision and any other asset the top prospects in the nation has. Playing this year for the DEA Dragons 13U travel team, in addition to playing for McGowan Middle School, he’ll likely be at DeSoto High School next year. McGee and Feaster are two of the most elite 2027 prospects in the country and to have those two running together is an embarrassment of riches. This is a can’t miss FBS prospect who should be getting a ton of early recruitment.
