Szabelski was a corner that was able to shut down his opponent and be a standout lockdown defender at the corner position. He led the state in interceptions and is just a natural ball hawk, being all over the field and being a game changer. He is not afraid to get dirty and mix it up to help in the running game and is a good open field tackler, bringing the ball carrier down in a hurry. Schools still looking for a shut down corner or a player that can play nickel as well should be knocking at Szabelski’s door and grab a steal of this class.
