Matt Tate | Prep Redzone Scout
Soriano is one of the current leaders of the 2029 class. In his first year starting, he went 161/247 for 2155 yards, 65.2% completion, with 26 TDs and 11 INTs. His archetype is that of a pocket passer. Soriano has very good release with good throw power. Fluid throw motion. A thing of note about Soriano is his very good accuracy and good ball placement skills. He throws it in stride with his receiver. He has good pocket presence. Stays poised under pressure and uses his good progression speed to go through his reads. If needed, he can scramble out of the pocket and gain some yardage. Impressed with his work already.

Soriano put together a breakout season and established himself as one of the more intriguing young quarterbacks in the class. He completed 65 percent of his passes while also leading the class in passing, throwing for 2,155 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Soriano shows excellent touch on intermediate and deep throws, consistently leading receivers in stride. He is also capable of escaping pressure and delivering accurate throws on the run, adding another layer to his game. As his decision making continues to improve, Soriano’s combination of arm talent and mobility gives him significant upside moving forward and makes him a clear name to track closely.
