One of the players who comes with playing on the defensive line is Denim Welch Denim Welch Denim Welch 5'11" | 260 lbs | DL Westlake | 2027 GA , who is set for a massive 2026 season and is someone with a ton of talent. He is known to have a powerful first punch and some strong legs that make him seem like an immovable object. He is very strong and is going to torture offensive linemen in 2026. Welch is going to showcase only more moves from his bag. I would like to see more than a bull rush this season, as I would love to see him use the rip and the swim move more to showcase his speed.

Denim has an explosive get off that will put offensive Guards in an uncomfortable blocking position because you rarely can block him down the middle. He utilizing his hands well and has an eye for the ball. You can expect a consistent stat line from this kid because he plays through the whistle. His powerful lower half offers good support inside to take away clean lanes versus the running game. With the passion displayed on film, I see some big plays being made from this talent for 4 quarters. (PRZ Next Watchlist)

Welch has excellent power with initial quickness, but one of his best attributes is his violent hands, which Welch uses with impressive precision.  His best skill that I saw during the camp was his burst off the snap. He explodes out of his stance, demonstrating a burst upfield and good lateral agility. He displayed a strong punch and used his hands to shed blocks. Uses lower-body strength to anchor inside.
