One of the biggest risers across the 2028 class came from a dynamic defender in South Fulton, Cox, one of the top returning pass-rushers and overall defenders in the region, has seen his stock and overall recruitment take off after a giant junior season where he causes consistent pressure on the quarterback. He’s physically gifted at 6-foot-5 230-pounds who made four sacks and 35 tackles in eight games. He’s now made a big jump as the No. 8 EDGE defender in the state and should continue to see more Power Four offers come his way over time.

A dynamic pass-rusher to know just outside of Atlanta in South Fulton, Cox is one of the more underrated EDGE defenders on that side of the city who showed last season he can absolutely play at the Power Four level. He fires off the ball, brings a lengthy frame, and does a great job of attacking the quarterback in the backfield. He plays hard, fights off blocks, and knows how to make a big tackle in the open field. He’s one of the regions top returning EDGE defenders who should see a significant bump in the next 2027 Prep Redzone rankings. He’s also likely bound for a really productive senior season this fall.
