The Central Eagles fielded a very young team with many players emerging as potential stars. One of them was DeAnthony Dial DeAnthony Dial 5'11" | 160 lbs | DB Omaha Central | 2026 State NE , who flashed several times on the Eagle’s secondary. DeAnthony mainly played safety, but showed his versatility with how he could line up in the slot or step up as a box safety. DeAnthony isn’t the biggest DB, so it was impressive to see his physicality and and willingness to take on the ball carrier. Dial displays solid tackling technique allowing him to make secure open-field tackles. DeAnthony ended his sophomore campaign with 34 tackles, a TFL, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. I expect him to build on that in year 3 with another offseason of development.
