About Dayson

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would consider myself to be a Pro-Style QB, but I feel like I am still able to get out of the pocket efficiently and extend plays on the ground when the time calls for it. I feel like I’m very relaxed on the field and have good field vision, making reads quickly and getting the ball out before the defense has much time to react.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a very positive, upbeat person. I bring that same energy to the field. While I take the game very seriously, I feel it’s important not to bring a negative mind set or negative energy into the locker room or to the sidelines. I pride myself on being both coachable and encouraging.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m very involved in my youth group as well as our local church camp.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve always just found myself in leadership type rolls whether I had the title or not. I feel like I’ve stepped up a lot the last few years on and off the field. I try to share what knowledge and skills I have with my teammates in order to help us all as a unit, whether that’s working on plays with someone, helping my backup on skills, or just helping them in personal situations.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I think everyone has their ups and downs I work hard year round to be ready for anything that comes my way the best that I can. Nothing is handed out, only doors opened by God and lots of hard work. Injuring my hip my freshman year and my knee during basketball season my sophomore year gave me some challenges to work thru but it taught me to train well and take care of myself.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m just looking for an opportunity and a place I fit in with the culture and the team. I trust God to continue to lead my steps and I’m thankful for every conversation, invitation and opportunity.
