Byers was a nightmare off the edge last season, constantly finding his way into the backfield and disrupting plays. He’s got a quick first step and knows how to use his hands to shed blocks, which helped him rack up 15 TFLs and 10 sacks. He’s got a relentless motor and plays through the whistle. With 74 tackles on the year, he’s not just a pass rusher either. He can track the ball and finish plays. He’s a small school stud who I think is way under the radar.

Byers is competitive and it’s clear as day as soon as he steps on the field. He likes to compete, train hard, and get better. He and Xavier Storm Xavier Storm 6'1" | 195 lbs | DL North Central | 2026 State IN worked together quite a bit the entire day feeding off of each other. Byers 1 on 1’s with Le’au were some of the best reps of the entire camp. 2 of the most physical and competitive guys on the field were going at it. Byers can win with speed and strength both inside and outside.
