Our DL2 in the South Dakota 2028 class moved the needle forward during his live eval at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase last Saturday. I was impressed with how progressive he was with his pass-rush moves and showed off good improvision on the fly when his first look wasn’t there against mostly bigger competition in the OL group. Dawson shows off well-versed dexterity in his bend for his age, as a few reps he defined the term of why the “low man wins” with his agility on display. He might be 6’0 190 pounds at the moment, but I wouldn’t doubt a growth spurt might be coming soon as he looks like he has wiggle room for more size incoming. Should be a slight riser up our 2028 board as the live eval caught our attention well.
