Expert Analysis
Rob Howe | Prep Redzone Scout
Joiner decided to give football a try this season. The move has worked out splendidly. In just five games through seven weeks, the senior had hauled in 27 balls for 672 yards (24.9 YPC) and eight touchdowns. He also averaged 15.3 yards on three punt returns, flashing potential in that phase, too. Joiner’s highlight video features a dynamic weapon on the outside. He’s a matchup problem for shorter cornerbacks with an ability to high-point the ball and win in the air. His frame and quickness also allow for plays to be made on shorter routes, where speed and burst lead to winning contributions. Joiner started five games for the North basketball team last winter and was a regular part of the rotation, highlighting the athleticism brought to the gridiron. With plenty of room for development on the field and the raw tools to succeed, colleges should be excited about adding him to the roster.
