Sheedy has built on a ninth-grade year of 2025 that saw him complete 3 of 5 passes for 50 yards on the varsity. Stepping in as QB1 as a sophomore this year, Sheedy has thrown for eight touchdowns and rushed for a team-best six scores. Davenport North has kept itself in playoff contention with the dual-threat signal caller delivering for an offense that’s developing as the year goes on. We can see the growth he’s made when watching highlights from the first three games. Escapability stands out right away on the film. Sheedy can make something out of nothing by scrambling and keeping his eyes downfield. He does a nice job reading the defense while holding the mesh point before making sharp decisions. Sheedy gets the ball out quickly from multiple arm angles with arm strength to stretch the field.

Sheedy brings a five-star name to the field and upside to keep an eye on moving forward. He was one of the few Davenport North freshmen to contribute during the 2025 season and his play was the most impactful from that group. The ninth-grader completed three of five throws for 50 yards and carried the ball four times for 21. Sheedy was credited with 11.0 tackles, seven of which were of the solo variety with 1.5 stop for loss. He also forced a pair of fumbles. We don’t have a ton to go on when checking out what’s on his Hudl page, but Sheedy flashes potential on both sides of the ball. One of the first clips shows him reading a play from the free safety spot, recognizing run and getting downhill to the ball in a hurry, when he levels the ball carrier. As a signal caller, there’s pocket presence, quickness through progressions and a strong arm.
