David is coming off a very productive 2024 campaign on both sides off the ball. He accounted for over 1300 total yards, 15 touchdowns and 48 tackles. He is a speedy WR that can beat the defense down the field. He runs clean, crisp routes, while showing he is a natural pass catcher of the football. At safety, he shows great hip mobility and is willing to come downfield to play physical in the run game. David has committed to UMASS.

At 6’0″ and 195 pounds, David exhibits impressive versatility, playing both WR and DB for Xaverian Brothers High School.
Recent film analysis confirms his exceptional speed and athleticism, particularly highlighted and confirmed at the Rhode Island camp in 2024. His performance showcases relentless effort on the field, with excellent footwork and positioning in coverage. In his dual role, David stands out for his advanced route running, ball-tracking skills, and ability to win contested catches. His top-end speed makes him a threat to score on every play, while his strong tackling ability further enhances his appeal as a future collegiate player. With continued development, Chiavegato is undoubtedly a rising star to watch.

I wrote about David as a prospect to watch in my team preview on Xaverian. David has not disappointed. He ranks second in Massachusetts in touchdown receptions with 7.  He can play both the slot and outside WR. His route running and ability to track the ball has impressed me. Wins the contested throws. David has next level top end speed and is viable to score everytime he touches the ball. Chiavegato is also a starter on defense at safety and returns kicks on special teams.

David is a high-energy safety who plays the game with relentless effort.  Chiavegato also earned snaps on the offensive side of the ball at WR. He looks to have good feet and positions himself well in coverage. Possesses good hip mobility and instincts when playing the ball in man coverage.  I am impressed with his ball skills and natural movement capabilities in space. David is a reliable tackler and is a prospect I expect to continue to rise in his positional rankings because of his ceiling potential.

His film pops and identifies him as a skilled athlete with very good ball skills. During the event, my attention kept being drawn to a prospect wearing #112 only to find out after the event that it was “Chiavegato”. “Chiavegato” repeatedly displayed very good athletic movement with confidence behind his skills each rep. He is a very fluid athlete that makes things look easy when he performs.
