was on our radar but it was as a running back. That changed following his freshman season because Wilson started for the Sabercats on defense and produced at a very high level. He finished the year with 50 tackles and a pair of interceptions. You throw on the film and you see a player that looked very comfortable competing against 6A-2 competition. He made plays close to the line of scrimmage as an inside corner and he also looked comfortable as a roving safety that could find the ball and attack. His speed was something that had our attention back before the season and that speed was on full display when it came to getting from point A to point B in a hurry. There’s a lot of potential for Wilson as an overall athlete moving forward.
