A new name on our radar this season is 2025 Buckhannon-Upshur WR/LB Colton Wendling Colton Wendling 6'2" | 185 lbs | EDGE/WR Buckhannon-Upshur | 2025 State WV who’s been a bright spot for the Buccaneers during a tough season.

Wendling has upside and potential as a versatile outside linebacker prospect who could add size and move to the middle or stay on the outside as a pass rusher with coverage ability as well. He has a 6’2 185 frame to work with which could take him in a few different directions at the next depending on how his body develops in a college program. Wendling has proven to be a threat off the edge this season when pass-rushing and is a long and athletic OLB who can harass the quarterback and make a play in space. He can support the run off the edge as well with the quickness to shut down inside or outside runs away from his play side due to his quickness. Wendling is flying under the radar for now but it wouldn’t surprise us if a D2 program likes his potential and upside come Signing Day.
