is one of the best prospects in the 2026 class. His ability to make plays as an edge defender and linebacker is impressive. You do not see many athletes who can move like Gatten does. His ability to make plays all over the field is excellent. He is committed to playing football for Duke at the next level.

does everything you want a LB to do. He has great eyes, constantly making great reads and breaks on the ball. In run defense or when it’s time for Gatten to make a tackle, he does, he lays the wood too, imposing his will on offensive players. Gatten is a good athlete with smooth hips, making changing direction look easy. For a LB, he is a good size for the position, and has good playing strength. Gatten is a 3-star recruit who holds offers from numerous ACC, Big 10, and SEC programs.

‘s ridiculously long laundry list of scholarship opportunities. All deserved, the national recruit is well on his way to reaching top-five recruit status. Where Gatten places on our ranks is a bit arbitrary right now. What should be known is, Central Catholic has two of the states best five linebackers, regardless of class, deployed in their front-seven.

showed off why we like him as a second-ranked two way-athlete among all 2026 prospects. Gatten aligned in the backfield and ran to the flat to catch a Jy’Aire Walls pass, one that would go for a score. Gatten’s future is at backer, yet it’s always worth mentioning how special a weapon he could be if and when given the opportunity.
Offers out of Texas A&M and Kentucky, Oklahoma and Tennessee also into the mix. Many of these blue blood programs were in on Gatten, with intention that he would build momentum on what was a promising sophomore campaign. Based on Gatten’s junior tape posted on Hudl, I have to imagine the SEC and Big10 programs who offered in the Summer are still on the Gatten train. Excited to see where he ends up committing.

out of Pittsburgh Central Catholic was already a highly recruited player going into the offseason. There is no sign of it slowing down either. The 2026 prospect started the spring off with an offer from Notre Dame on 3/17. Just two days later Gatten received an offer from Michigan. On April Fools Day it was no jokes all smiles for the Viking’s star prospect, he picked up two offers. One from Maryland and one from Oklahoma. When it comes to visit’s he has made the trips to Tennessee, Notre Dame, Michigan, Nebraska, West Virginia, and Duke. Expect more P5 programs to take notice of this kid!

is one of the best players in the 2026 class and the best player in the Tri-County Conference. Gatten can do it all at outside linebacker. Below is what I wrote about him earlier this year:
“He has a good combination of athleticism and fundamentals. He does a good job of playing in space and the box as a linebacker. In pass coverage, he does an outstanding job of getting his hands on the ball for pass breakups and interceptions. In run support, he does a good job of reading and reacting to the play and then coming upfield to make the play. He is an outstanding tackler. In the open field, he is good at tracking down ball carriers. Sky’s the limit for Gatten and he picked up an offer from Tennessee. I expect more offers to come his way”.

Colsen’s a high-priority recruit who has earned Power 5 offers from Penn State, Pitt, and Wisconsin. He looked above average while doing drills in person this summer at the 2Tenths Top 150 camp. He was mobile and looked competitive while competing during one-on-ones. Gatten executed efficient zone drops during 7 on 7s and displayed a swift break on the football. His measurables are legit at 6’1.5, 210 lbs, and he has the frame to add more bulk. Colsen also has the talent to stand out on various special teams. The amount of depth that Central Catholic possesses every season is scary.
