I decided to add an “Athlete” slot to this team for a player that does it a little bit of everything for his team. Cole Colony Cole Colony ATH Lexington Catholic | 2023 State KY fits that description perfectly as he was a key piece of Dunbar’s offense this season. Colony started off the season at running back, finishing his senior year as the team’s leading rusher with 159 carries for 1,029 yards and 14 touchdowns. He is a hard runner that has the strength and contact balance to break tackles without losing stride. Colony also has the speed to run away from the defense and elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. He also caught six passes for 68 yards. Due to an injury at the position, Colony returned to his original position of quarterback during the regular season, completing 94/160 passes for 1,266 yards, 10 touchdowns, and four interceptions. Colony also played a role on defense as a defensive back but he looks the best with the ball in his hands on offense in my eyes. His play earned him District Player of the Year honors this season. Cole currently holds an offer from Centre but I can see more coming his way as he has the ability to play multiple positions at the next level.
