It was a steady performance for Ohuabunwa, and about what I expected out of him. Similar to Younger, the traits and speed proved overwhelming when pursuing the ball and battling at the POA, but it was his patience that really stood out to me. He was an urgent, yet under-control pursuer of the football who was impossible to outangle. His range and sideline-to-sideline speed will be what helps him make his mark at Florida State, and this was a good preview of that.
One of the top 2027 linebackers in Norcross and across Gwinnett County, Ohuabunwa is fresh off an incredibly productive junior season for the Spartans. The sure-tackling defender can make an impact in lots of different ways, showing last fall he can make plays in coverage, rush the quarterback off the edge, and hold down the middle of the field. He’s a gifted player with strong instincts who lit up the stat sheet this past season with 1117 tackles, three TFLs, two sacks, and one INT. He’s one of the top returning defenders in the region and recently earned a new offer from the Yale Bulldogs.
Long, fluid athlete. Plenty of room to add mass. He will develop nicely. Several plays against the ball in coverage, uses length to crowd and annoy. Also uses length to lock out and keep chest clean. Tackles with a good base and pad level. Holds P4 offers. Boom potential here.
A versatile linebacker from Norcross who can make an impact both against the run and in coverage, this promising defender brings a lengthy frame that helps him cover receivers and tight ends in the middle of the field. He fights off blocks, gives max-effort, and knows how to find his way to the ball-carrier. He wraps up properly and made 66 total tackles last fall with six TFLs. The 6-foot-2 210-pounder brings good size for his age, strong instincts, and should only get better and better this spring and summer. His recruitment is picking up some as he’s added recent offers from Wake Forest, East Carolina, and Indiana with more likely on the way.
