Barbara is a talented edge player for Liberty Benton high school in Northwest Ohio. CJ’s length and explosiveness make him a tough block for opposing offenses. It’s been on my radar since after his freshman year. He’s continued to add good weight and strength over the last two years. In his junior season he really took a big jump in his development and game. Barbara has the get-off and speed to win the whenever he wants pretty much. One of the advancements he has made is in his ability to bull rush and overwhelm blockers physically. He know has the strength to consistently stand up opposing tackles and shed to make plays in the run game. Another tool he’s added to his bag is a crossover where he shows the ability to work outside-in by going hard to the edge, dipping his shoulder and crossing over to win an easy route to the quarterback. CJ has a motor that’s always running hot, and is always a threat to run plays down from the backside. I project CJ has a floor at the D1 G5 level with P4 upside depending upon how he continues to develop physically.
