Christopher Flynn Christopher Flynn 6'3" | 200 lbs | EDGE/QB Owen J. Roberts | 2026 State PA is a good athlete who played well as an edge defender last year. He also played spot duty as a quarterback. As an edge defender, he does a good job of exploding off the edge and making plays in the backfield against offenses. He uses his hands well to rip through offensive linemen and create pressure on the offense. Flynn also runs well by making a ton of plays in the backfield against offenses. As a quarterback, he shows good running, especially running for tough yards on designed quarterback run plays. Flynn has potential as both a quarterback and an edge defender.

Tough to rank a kid without much varsity tape. We have had OJR’s Christopher Flynn Christopher Flynn 6'3" | 200 lbs | EDGE/QB Owen J. Roberts | 2026 State PA anywhere from the 20th-best QB in a loaded class, to now 36th. Flynn’s current rank is arbitrary, as scouts like myself wait on his formal jump to varsity. 6’3, 195 pounds, there is a ton of intrigue around the incoming junior. Size and JV throws lead to a ton of deserved excitement, yet I’m guessing potential collegiate suitors are all awaiting substantial tape to evaluate. Flynn’s rank won’t matter too much until then. Flynn is up 20 pounds from the last we updated his measurables, that’s substantial growth if the number holds to be true.

Flynn, the OJR JV Player of the Year, nearly cracks our Top 20, placing over some serious studs at the position. This is likely to outrage someone somewhere, let me briefly explain why I’m high on this young man. JV tape is JV tape, yet to my evaluating eyes, a throw is a throw, a read is a read, a 45-yard throw from the pocket is… you get the idea. Taking a look at Flynn’s tape, you immediately drool over the prospects build. I shouldn’t have to mention the importance of carrying a proficient height/weight combination at this position. Flynn flashes the arm talent next, suddenly a coaching staff has more ingredients to work with than half of the state. You don’t find sophomore’s this comfortable in the pocket, with arm strength and size often. I’m willing to go out on a limb and project Flynn to be looked at as one of the better QBs in his class after his junior season at OJR. I won’t break down what I’m seeing against JV secondaries, I’ll leave tape dissection up for another time. We’ll see if this is a hit or a miss.

Owen J. Roberts has a hidden gem in their possession. I’ve known about this kid for some time, I await ranking him until I see more. A ranking could come after the camp scene this Summer or in training camp sessions. I fully plan to rank this young man before the Fall season begins. That’s how confident I am in his game. His stature is a plus, that’s a given standing at 6’3. He’s got minimal tape, yet there’s a lot to like in those small moments. He has the confidence to test a defense deep, he can move a lot better than I thought as well. Excited to get him going.
