Mallet is probably one of the more underrated wide receivers in Ohio. He has solid speed, but it’s all of the other attributes that make him such a problem for defenses. Mallet understands defensive leverage and route running. He has the athleticism, physicality, and ball skills to execute at a high level. He has great spatial awareness and the body control to position himself to gain the advantage over defenders. He’s also a player who can go up and make the high-wire catches. I like Mallet as a big slot at the next level. With some strong sophomore film, Charlie should start to get on recruiting radars this summer.
