is already breaking records at Hawken as a junior. Hawken is a true pocket quarterback and has the awareness required to succeed. He has great posture in the pocket and stands tall at 6’4”. He has a high and quick release which can make the ball explode down the field. He has good touch down the field and can zip a ball to his target in the quick read game. He does very well with pressure, using his footwork to weave and bobble through lanes in the pocket to extend the play. When he does get outside of the pocket, he looks to pass downfield. He does a good job at using every square inch of the field and can stretch you out either way. I haven’t gotten the opportunity to see Moorhead in person, but I think that will change in 2025.

The big signal caller for the Hawks had a strong junior season. Standing 6’4 and 215 pounds Donovan already posses a college ready frame. He has all the throws in his arsenal. I love his confidence and ability to throw the ball into the window over the top of the linebacker and underneath the safety on seam routes. He can drive the ball outside the hash on out routes and shows nice touch on his deep ball. Though he was in a more balanced offense, his numbers were extremely efficient as he threw for 1,883 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 6 Interceptions while completing 65% of his passes. Donovan currently holds 9 D1 offers, so it’s kind of weird to say he’s under the radar, but his name truly doesn’t come up as much as it should as one of the top 2026 quarterbacks in Ohio.

Donovan is another larger frame quarterback in this class at 6’4 215 with most of it already filled out. He’s a pro-style with most of his success being from inside the pocket. He shows good timing and anticipation on short and intermediate routes and has the touch and arm strength to throw a good deep ball. He also shows he can navigate around defenders while inside the pocket and step up to make throws downfield. Donovan currently holds 4 D1 offers and has been generating a lot of early interest as a sophomore. I expect this trend to continue and will not be surprised to see him get some P4 offers soon.
